Lynda D. Stone is a Professor of Child Development at California State University, Sacramento. She received her Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in learning and development in 1996 from the University of California, Los Angles. She has a range of research interests grounded in socio-cultural theories of development that focus on the construction of learning contexts and their role in regulatory, motivational, and intersubjective processes, identity formation, emotional experiences, and the construction of practical-moral knowledge.
