Measures
Evaluation
of program impact is a key part of UC Links
work. UC Links principal investigators and collaborating
partners have developed a number of evaluation
strategies in order to measure the effects of
program activities on participating K-12 and
undergraduate students.

surveys and rubrics used by UC Links programs

These
pages contain writing prompts and scoring guides
used at Club Proteo in Santa Barbara during
2001-2002 to evaluate children's writing development
over time.
This
rubric, developed by the UC Links program at
UC Los Angeles, is used to document the nature
and extent of undergraduate assistance to children
who are engaged in writing tasks.
This
rubric, developed by the UC Links programs at
UC Los Angeles and UC Santa Barbara, is based
on a scoring guide used for the National Assessment
of Educational Progress.
This
rubric was developed by the Humanities Out There
(HOT) program at UC Irvine to assess the development
of creative and analytical writing done by K-12
students in HOT programs, both in school and
after school.
These
items measure program impact on undergraduate
students in the areas of future aspirations
and conceptual learning.
This
Spanish-language survey was developed by the
UC Links program at UC Santa Barbara to measure
computer literacy among participants in the
