Club Proteo Writing Assessments, 2001-2002

During Fall 2001, Club Proteo children were administered two pre-assessments: one prompt for letter writing and one prompt for narrative writing. Each prompt was available in a Spanish and English version.

At the end of Fall 2001, Club Proteo children were administered one Fall post-assessment: one prompt for letter writing. The letter prompt was available in a Spanish and English version.

At the end of Spring 2002, Club Proteo children were administered two Spring post-assessments: one prompt for letter writing and one prompt for narrative writing. Each prompt was available in a Spanish and English version.

Letters were scored using an objective scoring system and narratives received both an objective score and a rubric-based score. (Click here for an explanation of scoring.)
