Larry, Greg, et al.....
Below is a link to the earliest document in English that i know about that
discusses the underlying rationale for method of dual stimulation. The
application of this
method can be seen clearly in later Luria work in restoration of brain
functions,
as in *Man With a Shattered World*. It is classically present in the film, *
Awakenings,
*in a scene where the main character uses the tiles on a floor to control
his
movements.
It is captured in a different way by Luria's uses of the phrase that with
the acquisition of culture, humans are able to "control themselves from the
outside."
It also fits nicely with Jussi's characterization of the late 1920's as a
time when
instrumentalism was the underlying world view of LSV et al.
