We have a request to make on behalf of a colleague of ours. The
situation is this...
At the beginning of this year our colleague Peter was visiting the
Ukraine - specifically the Ternopil Pedagogical University. Whilst there
he was working closely with Alexander Khomenko who was attempting to do
research under the most basic of conditions. Alexander was attempting to
write a book to use as a text for students in the Ukraine studying
English and needed material on the interests of fifteen to seventeen
year olds. Whilst he was making progress gathering local data for
comparison - he was struggling to find a means of gathering data from
other countries given his limited resources. Peter said he would bring
the questionnaire back to New Zealand and try and find some way of
helping him. Upon hearing this story we felt perhaps people on this list
might be able to help by distributing the questionnaire to any fifteen
to seventeen year olds they have access too, and emailing or faxing it
