Hi everyone:

Please read and forward this statement against Arizona's English Fluency Initiative sent to me by a colleage.
In short, this statement is signed by 81 faculty members from across Stanford University in support of the University of Arizona linguists and NCTE's statement demonstrating that Arizona's policy is NOT based on educational and linguistic research, but rather on misguided, harmful assumptions.
