Here is the problem. I have ALREADY assigned the Vygotsky article. But
these students are not used to reading material so dense. I am only
a "distance teacher" (although I have local help) and there is limited
time to work through the materials slowly, carefully, and supportively.
I know this because I failed to give needed support for the article
on learning and development from the same volume.
even UCSD students need a LOT of support for reading Vygotsky in the
(!!??!! "original") translated version. So, I was wondering if there
is a good, coherent, version of these ideas written initially in
English (many of these students struggle with English as a second
language, so English that is translation of Russian is especially
difficult).
