HHG was what I was thinking of. Seem to recall the computer "deep thought"=
came up with 42 as the answer to the question of life, the universe, and=
everything. But it turned out no one knew the question. So some very=
clever aliens built the earth as a giant organic computer to figure out the=
question. Someone crashed into the earth, putting a bug in the program. =
So the earth emerged with the question 'what is 6x9?"
This explains a great deal of earth logic to me.
