Pleeeeeezzzzeee mock me, mock me ... I look good in a mock.

Why especially for women? In my observations, it seems that we blunt-headed
gazouties (blokes, fellas, men) have the most resistance to grappling with
inner contradictions and self-knowledge, hence roughly half the problems of
society.
For men of my vintage in my culture, it was very much a case of being
tough, aggressive, non-emotive if you wanted to be "one of the boys". Its
probably still the same.
Poetry(ing) was frowned upon. My crocheting craze, needless to say, never
caught on among the chaps. Luckily for me, guitars were a fashionably
acceptable outlet for turbulent innards.
To misquote Adorno: "Every work of art is a crime uncommitted".

not against self reflection, but opposed to navel gazing as a retreat from
social responsibility. Guilty of crimes against the self and humanity
nevertheless.
