It's an interesting task to raise my hand as a listener on this list. What
on earth would I say about who I am at this moment? Here goes: Assistant
Professor at the Warner Graduate School of Education in Rochester, NY,
struggling to balance the frustrations of teacher education with the
demands of doctoral students and my own research on interaction in
classroom literacy activity, while at the same time desperate to change
schools into just and equitable contexts; a wife and mother of three
dynamic and energetic children (13 yr old girl, 10 yr old boy, and 1 yr old
boy) trying to be all things to all people (including myself) and balance
work and home. I suppose this is one way to describe my listener stance.
