I am a doctoral student in developmental psychology in the School of
Education at the University of Pittsburgh; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.

My interests range from cognitive development and learning to the history
and philosophy of psychology. The social nature of learning and cognition
is of particular interest to me. I hope to write my dissertation on the use
of case study methodology in the acquisition of domain specific knowledge. I
plan on pursuing my interests in the history of psychology upon completion of
my dissertation.

Piaget and Vygotsky, as well as theorists and researchers in cognitive
psychology, have informed my interests in learning and development. The
work of Kurt Danziger and David Leary, among others, has been played an
important role in my interest in the history of psychology.
