I am a mathematics educator with broad interests in psychology and
epistemology. I am intrigued by situated, sociocultural approaches
to learning, especially when identity is problematized through
membership in multiple communities and engagements in conflicting
or contradictory practices. Psychoanalytic and semiotic tools seem
to be promising theoretical tools in such analyses.
