UC
Links is part of an international collaboration among university faculty
and their community and school partners, working together to create
learning environments that are both engaging and fun. These environments
draw on the social backgrounds and cultural knowledge of local youth,
while building their understanding of the larger world in which they
live. UC Links brings together programs where younger and older peers
enjoy collaborative academic activities, where they learn to use varied
technologies as tools for communication, and where researchers of all
ages study a broad range of activities, to deepen our understanding
of the social and cultural context of learning. We at UC Links value
the opportunity to share insights and information, research and program
ideas, with our colleagues and friends throughout the world..
