moderation

Actually, Eva, I don't think I would be a good moderator of a Leontieve
discussion. I really think it shoulld be a European, northern or
Eastern, (or German! :-) ) who grew up on Leontiev. This was THE
dominant group at the first activity congress meeting. All this
CHAT stuff, this re-combining of the cultural-historical tradition
with the teitesgeit tradition, was not ready for a hearing. Vygotsky
was almost compelely absent, never mind Bakhtin.

Peg Griffin, among the Americans I have worked with, is perhaps most
knowledgable and thoughtful, but she lives in a different sphere
these days.

For those interested in the transition period, from Kharkov, check
out Soviet Psychology circa 1981 for a special issue and a couple
of interesting spill over articles in the next journal issue. (At
least I think it was 1981, eva :-) )

But not me.
