Right now two items of particular interest:
I met a teacher of physical education on the graduate level (MA and PHD
students) who has developed a means of teaching science (physics,
chemistry, physiology, anatomy) to inner city high school students through
the gym and other athletic activities he does with them. He said that
there was a paucity of theoretical writings ion the subject as he sees
it...and when I told him my ideas about activity theory and how what he was
doing was an explication of that theory, he became very interested in
learning more. Anybody working on this or have any ideas as to where he
might turn for references, etc.?
Second, At the Aarhus meeting this coming June, we will be having a panel
talking about evolutionary theory and activity theory. Anybody written
anything or have any material I should be aware of? Thanks.
