I guess one of the issues around learning environments, in general, is what
is the affect of time on activity. The typical school (k-12) timetable
appears to have developed more from organisational convenience than
learners' needs. When one begins to question timetables and institutional
structure, it appears that often the initial reasons for things have little
bearing on the true purpose or intention...
