I entirely agree with Eugene that the sensitivity I was
proposing occurs in and is not independent of the oppressive
practices, but I was also assuming that schooling is pervaded
by just such practices, and family life as well in many/most
cases, and public life (in the sense of adult public life) most
severely of all. This would seem to give younger humans an
almost seamless network of oppressive practices within which
to develop and exercise an operating (but not necessarily
a theoretical) model of oppressive relations. JAY.
