Hi Andrew-- There is a growing literature on the topic of discourse
properties of computer mediated communication. Francois Hermann has
been writing about this issue with respect to xmca and its predecessor.
Prior shared history certainly provides a basis for intersubjectivity,
but it feels like anything but the SOLID base you take it to be. Nor
do I think of email self/other corrections to be quick relative to
facet to face interaction, slow and degraded seems more like it!

Anyway, the bottom line is to "take care" and by the symmetry of m
exchange process, to "give care" as well!
