archives access & assessment

I have been off-line to finish grading, or whatever one might call
marking points on a horizontal (the line dips a bit at one end). I know
the students benefit from my extensive comments, but I can't imagine what
institutional purpose my grades are serving. This ordeal has provoked my
interest in issues of assessment. I do not seem to have in my mailbox an
old XMCA message on how to access the archives. Can someone who has that
message forward me a copy?
I heard from my students last summer, who were all Israeli, about a
Vygotskian-based model of "dynamic assessment" that I assume some of you
XMCA-ers (is this moniker for us thanks to Angel?) know all about. Is the
name "Adizas" (the author, I think, of the model) familiar to anyone? Can
an Israeli colleague help me out?
Thanks.
