Hi Don-- Just so no one thinks that only a Deweyan would understand the
elegance of specifying childhood as a criterion of human's specific
nature contra computers, Volodya Zinchenko likes to site some lines
of Mandelshtam's poetry to the effect that a machine cannot be considered
living which does not give off seeds.
