Re: [xmca] Polanyi's "Magic of Marxism"


I like the phrase "We have a prejudice against prejudice".  What happens if
we accept the notion that we always operated from a particular bias or
pre-judgement.  We may become more humble and curious about our biases and
be willing to let others point out our biases without becoming defensive.
The search for certainty may be the biggest fallacy.  I believe Einstein
said you just move deeper into the mystery. Merleau-Ponty's notion that the
world always expresses EXCESS that will always overflow our conceptual
BOUNDARIES is another perspective I appreciate.
