Applications are now being accepted for a 2-year post-doctoral research
fellowship at the University of Michigan in the Department of Psychology.
The successful candidate will assist with a NICHD-funded study examining
longitudinal changes in the family and the older child’s adjustment
following the birth of a second child. The study includes multi-informant,
self-report data across eight longitudinal assessment points in the first
three years following the birth of the second child, in addition to home
observations of family interaction and laboratory assessments of
parent-infant attachment and toddler/preschool self-regulation.
Experience/expertise with multi-level modeling to analyze longitudinal
change is preferred. Previous experience doing research with young children
and working with observational data and the coding of family interaction is
also highly desirable. Primary responsibilities will include (1) assisting
with data analyses and co-authoring of manuscripts; (2) assisting with
coding protocols; (3) training and supervising students; and (4) assisting
with grant applications.
