Lois, Now when the origin is found I'd like to add something from my
experience in the field of second/foreign language learning (I published in
Russian a book "How to learn languages successfully' based on experience of
workshops for Hebrew learners) that today it is a very popular subject in
applied psychology and additional key words are: learner autonomy,
metacognition, strategies, mediated learning, ZPD&scaffolding...
