reading this mail makes think about what kind of framework you consider to define " literacy" . There is a literacy dictionary issued by International Reading Association ( 2000 and so on...)
Moreover, there is New London Literacy group which assert the updated definition of " literacies" instead of literacy, in general, linked to basic skills or childrenīs literacy development( reading, writing, talking and listening).
As i read the message you seemed to consider adultsīlearning and literacy connections. Have you checked Freire and Macedo perspective. Some scholars consider Freire an " outcast" these days but his theory of adults literacy learning had a huge impact in Latin American.
There is an argentinian named Oscar Graizer who researches the connections between adultīs learning, work , and educational organizations. Check internet for his email or in case you cannot find any reference, write me down and i will send more information

learning goals.contents are. Reading/writing is one highly circumscribed set
of skills and this makes it easier to focus in, but, for example, when one

learned seems much more amorphous, at least to me.
