Dear Mike,
I am Cheryl Elhammoumi, married to Mohamed. He suggested that I get in touch
with you to inquire about registering for the course that will be on line
for xmca. I want to learn more about AT; Mohamed has patiently tried to
teach me a few things, but alas, his knowledge is so far above my current
level that I greatly frustrate him. I sometimes read the group postings and
glean interesting bits even though I have not read the articles and I lack a
complete AT-Vygotsky vocabulary. Sometimes I explain the
humor/movie/literature points of reference for Mohamed.
Anyway - I have a BA in psychology and a BSN and I am doing some graduate
work at the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley. I work full-time as a
critical care RN. As a member of the Transcultural Nursing Society I have a
specific interest in the impact of a person's culture on his approach to
health maintenance and illness care. Will this course be introductory enough
that I won't be lost and floundering from the outset? If you think I might
meet registration requirements, what do I need to do? I would like to
register for credit if possible.
Thank you,
Cheryl
