You are not suggesting that this style is what has produced the diminishing
number of postings by woman contributors, are you?
I'm all for telling stories that illuminate the great variety of reasons
x-contributors have for joining or leaving (although I cannot help but
wonder what Arne's response to being taken as an example would have been) -
but does the existence of individual variation in tastes and perceptions
mean that we should not be addressing the gender pattern?
