I always thought Husserl's distinction of "noeisis" and "noema" provided
much more precise way to talk about this kind of thing (even if you bag the
idea of a "transcendental ego"), methodologically speaking, that is (ref:
Ideas). Por lo menos te da pista pa' caminar. In any event, to paraphrase
the madman Gurdjieff's Beelzebub: "there's nothing like pouring the empty
into the void." In other words, it's hard to get lost when your nowhere at
all, or as Jack Kerouac wrote, apparently quoting Gary Snyder, "one really
can't fall off a mountain." (ref: Dharma Bums)

Eva,
The definition I gave for subjective was straight from Webster's. Take up
the argument with them.
