briefly, progress, I always think of in terms of its associative terms,
such as digress, egress, regress, ingress -
proress seems, to me, to imply forwardness; and I'd reckon when folks like
us use the word we are idealizing our contributions, we all want to see a
fair and just world one day, so we work, sometimes, in contexts of desiring
something more prgoressive than regressive, or something along those lines.
