a rowdy interruption

being the kind who likes to sit in the middle of the room and interrupt,
rather than raise my hand, I figured I'd just jump in without the
hand-raising part.

I am an eternal graduate student. It will be forever. I have accepted my
fate. BUUUUUT seriously folks,

my research interests have been diverse, to put it mildly: as a result I am now
wholly committed to cross and interdisciplinarity in research.
(Horkheimer, he thought so too)

so, broadly I'm interested in issues of identity and culture, transformation,
revolution, rebellion, anarchy, and political anger; I am a reluctant relativist
when it comes to...everything moral and ethical.

Let's see. My diss is looking into video ethnography from a - er -
perspective which I am using, culling from 1900-1940s Art Theory,
contemporary queer theory;
Teresea de Lauretis's brilliant brilliant" technologies of gender";

and folks Dorothy Smith (the smartest woman in north america, I think)
Frederic Jameson, Raymond Williams,

and so like structurally what I'm thinking is about how to consider the
sociocultrual relations which merge in the practice/activity of video
ethnography, that is, the relations between

video - art - technology - methodology.

all how all these mingle in identity performance.reconstruction etc, : who
are the players in video ethnography?

Oh. WOW. Like, way more than we need to know eh? Sorry. for my verbosity.

so it's all part of a larger project to develop film or video documentaries
and write
screenplays. And I wanna speak at Harvard one day, by invitation. I
mentioned that didn't I? I'd like to be famous. Very much. And wealthy,
that would be cool because I could become a philanthropist then. I'd like
to be on Oprah one day too, as a consultant, maybe talking about a book I
wrote, or a screenplay. Or ya. I 'd like to publish a book.

(aaaaah shaddup already Hodges) - Oh ya, I might as well re-"out" myself as
a radical dyke. short shoes, sensible hair, something like that.. ha ha.
