Yes, I am sure there are lots of national differences (diversity)
in the way the term diversity could be used vis a vis activity
theory, and intra-national ones too. For example, here in California
it means something different than it does in Vermont, and for sure
it means something different than in Sweden or the UK.
And yes, there are values adhering to different uses.
Speaking for myself, I believe that when we speak of AT and diversity
we are focusing on the issue of individual and collective subject,
the "S" slot in the overall set of relations in the basic triadic
structure of activity.
I was not at Olga's seminar in Aarhus, so I cannot say what she and
her colleagues had in mind and the LCHC seminar won't meet for a few
weeks yet, and of course that meeting will shape our local take,
depending on who turns up and what their take is.
Perhaps this topic will turn out not to be worthwhile for xmca and
should be moved to a sub-list for those who think it worth addressing.
Time will tell, or at least, hint.
