Theory-free formulations

Hi Bill, Thank you for your clarification note regarding the
process of theory from T(n-x) to T(N). I'd like, thinking of
ALfred's great post on what I would call the "Language User's
paradoxe" (Hi Alfred, it was terrifc to hear/see you back) to
suggest that the process could be recursive: going from n-x to n.
At least that is how it looks as it unfolds back unto itself. And
thank you among other thank yous for putting progress in the
picture. Oops, let's call it diachrony and strip it of all of its
positive or negative controversies. I don't know that I would
ever argue for the stability of difinitions or their rigidity
(boundary objects, time and process cannot be factored out), BUT
somehow I find myself drawing lines: simple lines between
artefacts and humans
; humans and animals, perhaps only because, not to, creates huge
problems eventually. So think as you like, I don't seem to be able
to think otherwise!
