I do not agree of course that trying to distinguish different time
scales and their interactions is unhelpful. I agree totally that
what gets counted as micro-meso-onto-phylo-etc time is not a fixed
category. It is always embodied time. It also relates to analytic
object, of course.
I will print and read your messages carefully over the next couple of
days while away and try to write more about this by next week. I
am VERY happy to have Naoki bring Mead's ideas about time into this
discussion, they are very relevant.
