Hi everyone, For all who are interested in issues of identity, I am reading
concomitantly another terrific book called "The bonds of love: Psyhoanalysis,
feminism and the problem of domination" by Jessica Benjamin (Pantheon Books
NY, 1988). It is both terrific and most helpful to me to get an understanding
of the dymanics of domination as the dynamics of recognition and mutuality
gone awry. I find myself wanting to answer Freud's question "What do women
want?" with (in part) "Recognition! and mutuality of relational activity
and that it does not apply only to women!".But in the absence of Freud
I am thinking that you may appreciate.
