I'm with Katherine. I'd been curious about CHAT myself and was happy to get
a "translation," but, to tell you the truth, this group never seemed to be the
sort of place where an innocent (even a misguided) question could not be asked.
I've seen all sorts of gracious, thoughtful replies with never a hint that the
questioner was out of place. (and been grateful for that, too.)

Anyway, a list of acronyms would be outdated as soon as it was created.
