Considering myself a new subscriber to xmca, I would like to comment on the
acronyms difficulty. If a discussion group is consistent in its expression of
the value of inclusive, diverse discussion, then even newcomers will feel
comfortable asking about what they don't know. If I recall the original
interchange, someone requested a clarification of CHAT and received several
different, reasonably consistent answers without any snide or belittling
comments about the questioner's lack of knowledge. That more than I usually
hope for when I inch up to the fire of a new group's camp.
