Hello xmca-er's,
Here is a little behind-the-scenes update to let you know what we
are busy doing. This week, we will begin sorting through archived
messages for common threads of discussion. Once that process is
complete, we will be one step closer to opening our web site. For those
of you who do not have web access, we will also place threads on ftp
(file transfer protocol) and give you instructions on how to retrieve
them.
We have a few favors to ask of you now. First of all, please have
patience with us as we begin the process of making our web page. We have
many ideas as to what will go on our page, including old messages,
self-descriptions, papers written by subscribers, and even links to
subscribers' own home pages. So if you have a URL address you would like
linked to our page, please send it to us, either to the list
(xmca who-is-at weber.ucsd.edu) or to xfamily@weber.ucsd.edu (the list maintainence
account.) Lastly, we ask that you take care to reply to messages either
with a similar subject line, or using the reply function. It
makes it easier for us (and fellow readers) to follow and trace the
discussion.
