(2) I use ACT! to keep track of correspondence, phone numbers, email,
etc. It's called a "contact manager" and there are many products like
this, designed for salespeople to keep track of their customers.
(3) I am a strong advocate of using a relational database for transcripts
and coding databases. I use Microsoft Access. The reason it's so great
is that it has a version of Basic built in, which allows you to slice and
dice your data a zillion ways with relatively little effort. Send me a
