Hannah Arendt suggest that ideographic representations do influence
the way in which language functions in thought. She uses this
interaction as a way to limit the intution many of us have that
words as fashioned through phonetic representations are our primary thinking
tools. I use her ideas in my article on cognitive pluralism in MCA.
