By the end of '96 I'll be ABD in educational psychology at the University of
Houston. I do adjunct teaching in psychology at UH-Downtown campus. My
candidacy and dissertation work is on the developmental concept of
decentration in Habermas and Piaget, especially what it says to the argument
between universalism and cultural relativism. I am moved to ask to be on the
xmca list since Michael Glassman brought the current exchange to my
attention: Hours after I mailed off my subscription to the journal Culture &
Psychology, the participants were referencing the upcoming issue. I've been
associated with Michael and with Rheta DeVries over several years working on
constructivist education. Currently I'm thinking of transferring my primary
allegiance from Piaget and Kohlberg to Sue Savage-Rumbaugh. Do I get bonus
points for having a son in cognitive science at ucsd?
