I'm working in the Division of Teacher Education, College of
Education, University of New Mexico on Teacher Research as an essential
component of a mid-career program. My studies in psychological
foundations and my dissertation were strongly influenced by Vygotsky,
Bakhtin, Freire, and their followers and further developers like M. Cole, V.
John Steiner, Wertch, Moll and many others.

My areas of interest are: social construction of knowledge by teachers
and by students, discourse analysis of classroom language, teacher
research, and the debate between critical theorists and postmodernists. I
would like to communicate with persons interested in one or more of these
areas.
