[xmca] chit chat

I downloaded a copy of the story and will attach for those who cannot reach
the New Yorker
article.

The article considers the current chit chat about the demise of reading and
the Vai work comes
up in that context. The general set of issues takes a long time to go into.
We only made it through
three media in our recent 10 week course.

I am unsure we are on the subject of the subject in Andy's article. This is
a very upside down time
of year and I only have bits and patch's of the discussion articulated and a
vague memory to look
up idiographic/nomothetic on wikipedia.

What do you make, overall, of the discussion thus far, Andy, and what issues
have not been raised that
would be helful to you?

mike

Ps-- A belated thanks from Sheila and me whoever those responsible for
sending a bouquet signed XMCA
on our 50th wedding anniversary. It was a sweet gesture.
