I could not agree more. We work closely with colleagues in Pakistan on teacher education projects and they are both bemused and, quite frankly, terrified by what is happening.

  Yes, aside the terrible situation of people trying to scape from conflict zone there's also the ocidental paranoia that comes from a possible terrorist attack (bombs, airplanes, anthrax contamination etc). Today, in Switzerland, it was probable found anthrax mixed with cocaine... Last week a bomb exploded here, in Brazil, in Rio, at a McDonnald's shop... And news from white pownd in letters comes from many places...
