Don,

I gave a little thought to *some* of what is produced and consumed on xmca,
and it appears as a working paper:
http://www.lesley.edu/faculty/wbarowy/mp/srmodel.html

Its a companion paper to one by Eva:
http://w1.314.telia.com/~u31414369/writings/earli99/multdyn.html

The work that remains on this is to make some measurements on other mailing
list systems, and to port the simulation over to a more robust modeling
environment. Definitely back burner stuff.
