Dear Dr Bryson and Dr. de Castell,
I am writing to inform you that you have been named the recipients of the
1999 Wired Woman Society's Pioneer Award. This national award recognizes a
woman (in this case two women) who are considered pioneers in the field of
technology or new media. Your combined work on the GenTech project as well
as your research into gender, technology and education is most deserving of
this award.
The gala awards ceremony takes place on Friday February 18, 2000 at the
Hotel Vancouver. This event brings together Wired Woman, Woman in
Communications, Women in Film & Video and Women in Music to recognize
outstanding women in each field. Earlier thi syear, over 450 people
attended this event and we expect it will be even larger in 2000.
We will need from you as soon as possible, head shots as well as most recent
bio's for marketing and promotional purposes. These may be sent by email to

collegues and associates that we may invite to the event to share this
special evening with you.
