All this talk about monkeys brings to mind something I read recently about
one of the many science vs. creation stories I hear down here in the Bible Belt:

A college student conducted a study designed to see if prayer would promote
the growth of plants. He designed a carefully controlled study (identical
soil composition, lighting, food, seeds from the same batch, etc.) in which
the only variable was that one group of plants received prayers, the other
didn't. After several months, there were no significant differences in the
growth patterns of the two groups of plants. The student's conclusion: He
was not sufficiently endowed with grace for his prayers to be effective.

I've heard worse explanations.......
