Think of me as one of those listeners sitting in the second or
third row of a lecture, follwoing the talk with rapt attention..
I have found myself in a serous argument wiht a good friend,
recently, trying to answer her question why it is important
to know about the social context of the early days of Vygotskian
theory. I need to be able to respond to that challenge.
