Hi Eva-- IU like the idea of your message hanging in air between
defunct microwaves... look how beautifully it came out!

Yes, we are talking about systems effects for sure, but we are
constituents of the system. And yes, I think your speculation that
our electronic lives have become more crowded too.

My note(s) were an attempt to respond to expressions of concern
from people about the silence, which I am well used to. I wanted to
make sure that new comes as well as old timers undcerstand the
need for there to be distributed responsibity of initiation and
got concerned that perhaps this cultural convention had somehoe
slipped away.

Any sign of spring up your way? My daughter in Helsinki reports
trying to take a walk the other evening and getting blizzarded
back home. On the other hand, she is totally sold on your
tradition of having infants sleep outside for a while in their
well bundled strollers. Here spring has sprung.
