With respect to antinomies, contradictions, and dialectics, the following
came to mind thanks to Michael Roth.

It is only in a social context that subjectivism and objectivism,
spiritualism and materialism, activity and passivity cease
to be antinomies, and thuse cease to exist as such antinomies. The
resolution of the THEORETICAL contradictions is
possible ONLY through practical means, only through the PRACTICAL energy of
man. Marx, 1844, p. 162.
(Courtesy of Anthony Wilden, System and Structure, p. 109.

The quotation is at the end of an essay called "Montaigne on the paradoxes
of individualism. Worth checking out if
you have the time.
