with LBE approach applied to schools, I have been able to account for economic conditions, and budgetary considerations in thinking about learning settings i.e. through community, division of labor, primary contradictions in instrumentation regarding exchange and use -- all things that are critically important w.r.t. integration of technology in schools and not accounted for by many many other theories that address only what's inside the head.

When one starts with the statement that mind is distributed across people and things, then there are some distinct differences in practices and actions across schools that vary in how much and what kind of things they have.
