Kathie...
in chat there is often a time delay between writing and receiveing
messages. When this happens the people in the distnt location and you may
be moving a conversation in all sorts of different directions.

In the conversation below, the Welsh children were intending to get
information about a combined wate-diposal domestic heating plant in
Odense, and the smoke which might emerge from the plant. The kids in
Denm..ark wanted to follow other conversations. we have four simultanoeus
threads here: pollution, hobbies, pets and castles. These kinds are all
speaking thier second language

I think this short extract gives the flavour of what I am talking about:

Wales:how many castles have you?Yes there
denmark:sorry Yes there Is smoke but they try to clean it
Wales:There are 20 in North Wales. Mrs James CANT REMENBEr them all.
Doe it affect people's health? Do they complain?
denmark:Some people complained some years ago, when they cooled the smoke.
Then it didn't go so high up in the air and it fell down in the town
denmark:what do you do in your spare time?
Wales:Mrs James will look it up by next week
Wales:Christopher plays football, Owain plays playstsation which is a
compuetr game, Paul plays with Siani his dog, Karen plays with her bike.
Wales:How many gas station are in Otterup?
denmark:Jesper plays handball, Louise plays handball, christina plays
handball and keyboard, simon bikes. Therese plays with her dog
Trunte. There are 5 gas stations in Otterup
